Carefully open up your PC, solve some cables apart and properly see if all cables are stuffed in, and which cable goes where.
Just make sure your SSD's SATA Cable goes to that motherboard port. I've seen cases where even the motherboard port wasn't functioning, so try switching the port where HDD is plugged in with the SSD. And the issue I came across just a few days ago, after doing something with a build, make sure all internal SATA power wires are properly plugged in. That should be it.
Otherwise SSDs and HDDs don't just stop working like that. For SSDs to stop working, a common reason can be an electrostatic discharge (ESD) which must be marked on the bottom of ur SSD. Otherwise it should work.
No need to reinstall windows...
