HELLO, Guys i have a major problem and i cannot find where it is and how to resolve it!!
(GRAND THEFT AUTO 5)

Problem: When I start the the Game , It works fine and it is playable (30-40 fps)! But After 15 minutes of gameplay , it starts to lag and fps drops (1-10 fps) and approx after 30 minutes its almost unplayable!

SPECS : Intel core i3-7100 3.90ghz (Kabylake)
Intel HD 630 Graphics
Kingston Hyper Fury X 8GB DDR4 (2133ghz)
WD 500GB (WD5000AAKX)
Gigabyte H110m-S2 (bios updated)
Circle Gaming Cabinet with 5 Chassis Fans

Now as it is a comman thread but most comman answers that I found while searching was to improve RAM but I already have 8GB of ram which is Exact for GTA 5!

I Think that the Problem is with my GPU (HD 630) ? Although I will upgrade my GPU within a month to Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 8GB . Will that problem Continue or will not lag ??Should I buy the graphics card if the problem continues!?
If there is any other thing that can resolve the problem, please HELP!!

Thanks

Solution
You should get more than 40 fps with the 1070. My old htpc with an i3 6100 and GTX 770 could hit 60. I wasn't running utra detail levels of course, but the majority of those settings hit the gpu much harder than the cpu.
Yes the problem is your gpu, its not very strong and is mostly meant for basic tasks like browsing internet, watching movies etc.

I would not pair a 1070 with an i3, in games like gta 5 the i3 will bottleneck the 1070 pretty badly. If I were you I would look at the rx 570/580 or the gtx 1060. :)

Also what powersupply do you have?

Actually I doubt its the gpu, it you get playable fps for 15 mins then you know its not that. My guess would be something is overheating, what are your cpu temperatures when this drop happens?

Agree a decent gpu will massively improve game settings and performance. Also I agree don't go over the 580/1060 paired with an i3.

But i3 7100 is a kabylake processor and it can only cause 5 fps drop due to bottleneck as i5 3470 is just 3-5% better than i3 7100 I know i3 will bottleneck 1070 but by how much ? becuase i can change to cpu in future but not gpu!?

My temprature does not exceeds 65*C (Max) while playing GTA 5! And I also want to ask what will be the consequences of bottlenecking ! Will the game be playable above 40fps or will be unplayable?? becuz i have seen youtube videos that show i3 7100 and gtx 1070 (above 60 fps)?!
IN TOTAL I MEAN HOW MUCH FPS DROP IT WILL BE WITH i3 7100 AND GTX 1070??
Thanks

Likely a ram issue stemming from using the igpu. When using the igpu it uses system ram as vram since it has no dedicated vram. So as the game doesnt actually have access to 8gb of ram and GTA V can use alot of vram aswell.

Another possibility is a memory leak. Is it the Steam or Rockstar version of the game?

The Problem is i want to future proof my graphics so that in future if i buy a i5 or i7 my gpu will paired nicely! Now I just need to buy gtx 1070 but if it will bottleneck by 50% like if i only get 30-40 fps then i dont think that i should buy it!! what if i increase my resolution to 2k?
and i also want u guys to know that by next year i will upgrade to i7 ! ,, So can i3 with 1070 work fine by that time??

So lets assume GTA 5 , i3 7100 with gtx 1070 at ultra settings 40+ fps ??? But Only for one Year?
