Mac Pro Early 2009

Hello, I have a mac pro early 2009. The original gpu died, but i had a spare nvidia geforce gt 430 laying aound, but it's not an apple gpu so there is no boot screen. I have os x el capitan running on it. I tried to install windows 7 with boot camp, but i get the error "no bootable device insert boot disk and press any key". How do i get back to mac os x? Thank you for your help.

When you install Bootcamp it should have setup a dual boot option for you. If it's not there, you can download the DVD for the Apple OS, although that may take a bit of searching to find a copy of the ISO file for it.

I have heard that i have to have an apple compatible gpu to reinstall os x. Is this true? The gpu i have in it is for pc.

I have solved the problem. the issue was my mac has a 32 bit efi so i had to patch my windows 7 iso to make it work. Thanks for the help.
