Hey guys,
I currently stream daily using a 4690k paired with a GTX 1070. The quality is fine, but the usage is high. The PC is handling things such as PUBG fairly easily, but with the new introduction of newer CPUs I am debating whether and upgrade is due. I currently have only really streamed PUBG, and it seems to be fine using the NVENC encoder and a 3k bitrate. I am unsure if the 4690k will really cut it for more demanding titles.
Has anyone else used similar hardware for streaming demanding titles?
I have toyed with upgrading to a Haswell i7, but with the coffee lake 6 cores possibly around the corner, I reluctantly have held off.
Full system specifications:
i5 4690k@ stock (Never OC'd)
GTX 1070
8GB DDR3 RAM
1TB HDD+120GB SSD
EVGA GQ 650w
Gigabyte Z9ZPD3 Ultra durable
Stream specifications:
NVENC encoder w/ 3k bitrate 720p 30FPS.
