AMD Overdrive or HWMonitor? Thermal Margin or CPU package(TSI)
I'm a bit confused right now, I downloaded HWmonitor to show CPU temps but it showed somewhere around 80 degrees (CPU package(tsi)) without doing anything at all. I did a quick google search and downloaded AMD overdrive. Overdrive showed me a Thermal Margin of around 35 degrees idle. What is the difference, and should I be worried about the HWmonitor readings?

Solution
Unless they are very low, thermal margins at idle aren't important. However you should check what they are at full load; if they are too low, the CPU will throttle and performance will decrease significantly. Your idle thermal margins are a bit lower than expected, but depending on the ambient temperature, they may be normal. When providing thermal margins or temperatures, the ambient temperature should always be included.

I have an AMD ahtlon x4 860k 3.7GHz processor and my temperature is around 30 to 40 degrees idle
