how much ram do i need ?

hello
how much ram do i need for next 3-4 years of high-end gaming ? is that 8gb low ?
if i choose 16 gb ram i must buy a cheeaper motherboard ! so i dont want to waste anything

Even right now there are games which have recommended more then 8 Gb, so if you consider 3-4 years, 16 Gb would be a must. However, upgrading RAM is usually much easier then upgrading motherboard, so you may want to get better motherboard and less ram now, and upgrade ram later.

you can just scrape by using 8, but 16GB would be ample for now. If you have the option (and budget) maybe bump it up to 24?

Go with 16GB, the rest is really up to you, especially depending on what games you are / want to play.
