Hi guys I'm having issues with my gtx 1060 drivers. Basically in some games such as endless space and x3-albion prelude I'm getting issues where the text constantly flickers as I move my mouse or use my controller. Now I tried rolling back to 378.92 driver and the problem went away, however theres no way to stop windows 10 from reinstalling a newer driver and re introducing the problem.

Does anyone know is theres a way to fix this? I have tried a few of the more recent drivers, going back as far as march. However the flickering text issue happens in all of them, until I tried the 378.92 driver which was from last december.

Thanks in advance.

What are you using to install drivers?

If you don't have the GeForce Experience program I highly suggest getting that and downloading them from there.

Another thing is you may need to do a clean install of the drivers, if you are not doing so. DDU will do a clean uninstall of all your video drivers and then you can install GeForce Experience (which it also uninstalls if it is on your PC) and install the latest driver. I always always always recommend doing the express installation, as I have had several issues doing custom installations, and drivers failing after a few weeks or so. When I started using express and doing DDU I have not had a driver issue in several months. So that is worth a shot, especially since it takes no more than 30 minutes from downloading DDU to being done.
