Hey guys, so i just installed my h100i v2 and was overclocking my 3570k on my ASUS Z77 extreme4 using prime95 and openhwmonitor.

Im following this guide: http://www.overclock.net/t/1198504/complete-overclocking-guide-sandy-bridge-ivy-bridge-asrock-edition

I was able to get 4.6 at ~1.25 turbo voltage. However, 4.7 requires nearly 1.3V.

My question is if the extra 0.1 is worth the large voltage jump? The guide says to have 1.25 max but others say 1.3 is fine and 1.4 is the max. Im not sure who to believe. I do want my cpu to live long (already been 2 years) while having a nice oc. Also, should i keep going to 4.8 and beyond if the max voltage permits?

Solution
1.3V is totally fine as long as you can keep your temperature under control. Make sure it stay bellow 80C at average. If temperature let u go further try 4.8 but for 24/7 try to avoid going past 1.350V
