Hello everyone. What are the best budget gaming upgrades for a hp Compaq 6005 pro small form factor? It has a dead motherboard so I am looking for a better one(like one that would work with a good graphics card), I have a good hard drive I just need psu, motherboard, ram(4GB min), CPU(and cooler), and graphics card. and it should all fit in the case. I can provide more details if necessary.
I would like to use this case because of portability Please reply soon.

Just get this. You can re-use the hard drive, but it's probably small anyways, so it's up to you. This should be able to handle those games and more. And you if you want, you can bump up to 1080p. If not, you can lower down toa GTX 1050 non-Ti, but the option is there. That's the thing about PC building: the choice is yours.

CPU: Intel - Pentium G4560 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor ($69.89 @ B&H)
Motherboard: MSI - B250M PRO-VD Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($61.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Crucial - 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($54.88 @ B&H)
Storage: Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard...
What are you trying to accomplish? As far as gaming? If you are looking into demanding titles, I can tell you that 4GB is not going to cut it. Also what CPU are you wanting? You can go completely new and get the G4560, but that's up to you. Also, what is "budget"? How much are you willing to spend?

As for gaming I want to be able to play Minecraft, Dirt 3, Maybe Forza horizon 3, and others in the future. I am new to PC building so I would not know what CPU would be good for my needs. I would like to at least be able to run at 720p HD but other than that, the cheapest(but will last a year or two PC). I don't know what parts that I actually need to upgrade I posted what I thought.
As for budget for now I am going to go with one parameter as cheap as gaming computer possible

just to be clear I don't need worlds best graphics or anything like that. I just need a simple card that will run the games well and that is compatible with the hp motherboard than add some more ram and maybe a new cpu and there.

That HP is non upgradeable mate , you said the board was dead ??
In that case the whole thing is useless.
If it isn't in fact dead then its still useless.
You don't fit a GPU in it , & even if you could the PSU will not be good enough & I doubt the board would support anything even remotely modern.

That's an athlon x2 in there as far as I can see.

Let me say this, my current gaming device is a surface pro 3 with a core i5 and 4gb of ram, so I don't really care about running anything other than Minecraft and dirt 3, I have a around $115 budget so I just want to upgrade some parts so can you help me find a good compatible GPU + CPU.

And thanks for the help so far.:)

I just found it was likely the CPU that is dead rather then the motherboard. To test i took the processor out and plugged it in it gave a different error code. Correct me if I am wrong but it seems now that I just have to get a CPU, GPU, and ram.
The computer has a am3 socket could you help me find a compatible CPU.
Thanks:).
