*UPDATE AND SUMMARIZATION*

My old Radeon HD 6800 died after 5 years so I bought a new GPU (Geforce GTX 1050 4GB). When the new GPU is placed, my computer wont go beyond the BIOS screen (which loads longer than usual) and my keyboard and mouse input won't work (but when I place old gpu they do work instantly). After BIOS my screen gets dark, say's 'no signal' and monitor shuts off. I think I have unistalled my old drivers (I booted pc with old gpu in safe mode and deleted drivers through device manager and configuration tab) but the problem stills persist. What can I possibly do more to let my pc work with my new GPU

Specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H61MA-d3V.
Old gpu: AMD Radeon HD 6800
New gpu: Geforce GTX 1050 4GB
power supply: 600 watt
Processor: I5-3550

-------------------------------------------
Hi,

Today I changed my GPU from a AMD Radeon HD 6800 to a Geforce GTX 1050 4GB since the Radeon died and I couldn't startup my computer after getting blue striped screen. I put in the new graphic cards and I started up my computer. I got the boot screen as usual though it took longer to go behind boot menu (maybe loading because of new card?). After boot menu I got a dark screen (screen still on) and after a few seconds it say's 'DVI..... no signal', turning my screen off. I tried to change the DVI but with no success. I have no other monitor to try it on so I think it must be the computer or monitor. The card holds a DVI port so that is no the problem. It also holds HDMI but my monitor screen doesn't. The card doesn't have a VGA but my monitor does so I only can connect through DVI.

Can someone please help me fix this? Thanks :)

My monitor is: AOC2236
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3550 CPU @ 3.30GHz
RAM: 8.0 GB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit -

Solution
Since it worked at another comp, it is even more proof you need to update BIOS to at least F5 version. Otherwise, there's high probability no 1xxx series card will work.
"The card holds a DVI port so that is no the problem"
The card holds the only DVI port you should be using so, if your not then you need to connect to that DVI port. (It sounds like you've connected your monitor to the onboard DVI port when you should be using the video card's DVI port.) If you ARE connected to that DVI port then, yes the card could be the problem.

What do you mean with dvi to dvi? I have always used DVI my monitor never wanted to connect to VGA. The cable worked fine until I replaced the graphic card today.

I connected the monitor DVI port to the graphic card DVI port. If the card is a problem, how can I fix this?

Because my computer is unable to start up because of the defect AMD card I can't log in and unistall the drivers :(

You can try to boot in safe mode with new GPU. If the problem is caused by drivers, you will get display, because in safe mode GPU drivers are not loaded. If you however won't get display, that would indicate there is a bigger problem.

I try to load my pc in safe mode but the problem is that when I start up the computer, I get the boot screen with the options but for some reason my keyboard doesn't work when I, for instance, press f12. I don't get the command/screen the boot screen says it would do. When I plugged in the keyboard usb in my laptop, it started working so I found that pretty weird. Maybe I should try an other keyboard or..?

How it died? I have no idea but on an other thread of mine I explained the what happened. Short: I have made a build in 2012 so the graphic card is from the same year. It died about a year ago when it started ti urning in blue striped screen, jumping buttons, and letters 'doubling' just after starting up or watching a simple youtube video. On the forums they said the gpu died because it pretty old. I bought a Geforce 1050 4gb to replace it but just after changing gpu my computer wont go behind the BIOS screen, stating I have no signal. My mouse or keyboard won't work but I saw some threads (with no solution) where people also had the same keyboard/mouse problem.

Since my won't start up with the old card (blue striped screen shows up after boot), I didn't have the chance to unistall the old drivers, from which I think is the problem.

I tried to boot into safe mode by changing the DVI plug-in slot from the graphic card slot to the mobo slot but then my screen won't go on at all, but when I use the graphic card DVI slot, I only get a screen at BIOS, but switching over to no-signal after that.

So that should not cause any damage to motherboard (I was thinking of something like PSU failure caused old card death). In that case there's no reason for a keyboard to not work in BIOS. But just in case, did you try resetting CMOS? And you didn't mention what motherboard you have?

*update*. My keyboard and mouse don't work anymore after installing new GPU. In BIOS I should be able to do some commands with buttons like F9 etc but after new GPU it won't work. When I plug in keyboard on my laptop, it works so it should be the computers problem.

What is resetting CMOS and how do I do that? My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-H61MA-d3V.

I changed the GPU to my old one and I got to start my pc up in safe mode (keyboard instantly worked) and I think I have deleted my old driver. I did it through device manager (>display adapter mentioned my graphic card, that clicked device and unistalled it). I also went to my configuration tab and unistalled 2 programs (AMD catalyst (installer) and Nvidia ....). I haven't found any other way to unistall more I thought it would be alright. I replaced my gpu with my new one but nothing has changed. I still get a longer BIOS screen, followed by a dark screen, and then saying 'no signal' before the screen switches off..... How hard can it be to change a GPU :/. Wouldn't installing the new drivers beforehand be a solution?

Can people please help my fixing this problem :'(

Ok, so that was a miss.
One more thing that comes to mind is wrong BIOS version. Looking at BIOS list for your motherboard, I see two versions that mention "Improve PCIEx16 graphic card compatibility" - F5 and F7c. It is possible that your new GPU will not work without BIOS update. Can you check your current BIOS version?

How can I check the BIOS version and how could I update it? :ange:

My BIOS version is called 'f2'. I went to friend who has studied ICt and he also has no clue besides that it is possible that my mobo is not giving enough power through the PCI-E x16 slot, since that is the only way the gpu is connected. He has checked everything that is possible but he also found it very weird. When he placed the gpu in his computer it worked fine and when he placed his gpu into mine (older and less good model than 1050) it worked. So the 1050 only didn't work in my computer. I just shipped it back and I will look for a similar gpu and if that doens't work I'll just quit with it because it starts getting to be an expensive joke..
