Back up being weird please help

OK, so at my work site I have to back up PCs. I have multiple 4tb external seagate hard drives to back up stuff on from previous interns. I know how to back up a PC. I go through the process and when i back everything up, I right click on the backup and check properties, it says 0 bytes. Please send help. How do I fix this. On my home computer this never happened. I need do finish this really soon. Please help me as soon as possible. Thanks!!!!

What back up software are you using?

Are you using some procedure that was given to you?

Did you verify the source and target file locations?

Could be your backup software is sending the backups to Folder X but you are checking Folder Y. You might even be on the incorrect 4TB external drive or partition. Easy to do if there are multiple physical drives and/or partitions set up.

Maybe one of the previous interns changed things and never bothered to update the backup procedure documenation.
