H80i sounds like predator

Hi, first time posting here so please forgive me if I'm an idiot.

Long story short, it's been hot recently so my pc has been running warmer than usual. The H80i automatically hits 100% fan speed when the liquid temp reaches 40 degrees, regardless of what curve I use (which I believe is built in so I'm not fussed about changing) but this means I've been running at 100% fan speed a lot.

I noticed a clicking noise which at first (a month ago) was quiet and infrequent, but it has now become quite loud and is audible whenever the fans ramp up. Does anyone know what this is (pump, fan, connection...?) and have a solution to stop the noise? Video link below.

For reference, idle CPU temps are around 34, and load around 65. I don't think that's too bad.

Any suggestions/thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks very much!

The noise you hear is coming from fan bearing under stress. All corsair SP120L fans have this design flaw.

If you get fed up with the fan bearing noise, switch out SP120L fans with Noctua industrial fans,

Nocuta industrial 3000 RPM fan has much better static pressure (7.63 mmH2O vs 4 mmH2O), much higher airflow (109 CFM vs 77 CFM) while being also noisier (43.5 dB(A) vs 37.6 dB(A)) than Corsair SP120L fan.

Awesome, thanks so much for replying. I will check out the fans, probably the 2000 RPM model as the SP120L seems to be keeping the CPU cool enough, the only issue being the noise. Thanks for linking the other discussion about SP120Ls as well, it's always a relief to see I'm not the only one having issues. Cheers!
