Hello!

I am going to be doing a new full build this year and am looking for tips on parts. My current build is about 5 years old, and things have changed A LOT. I am mostly gaming and rendering photos.

Current Build:

Mobo: ASUS M5A97
CPU: AMD FX-8350
Cooler: 212 EVO
RAM: 16Gb Corsair Veng. LP
GPU: GTX 770
PSU: Corsair GS600
HDD: 1Tb 5400RPM

And the new build I am looking to do is: Here

The main things I wasn't sure of:

-Is the 6700K still worth purchasing?
-Is this MOBO a good choice? Not sure if overkill.

Advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

depending on what time of the year your going to build the parts you can buy are going to change.
if your going to build right now then micro center has the newer i5 7500 for 199.00 and 30.00 mb rebate. if you go that route use the newer z270 mb. there are newer iontel coffee lake cpu that dropping latter this year. leak about the mnow there 30 percent faster then cpu out now at the same price an use the same x270 mb. after that the next cpu from intel may or many not use the same pin and mb there due out dec-jan time frame.
