High Idle Temps, Low Load Temps

I just recently upgraded my PC to a Ryzen 1700x and GTX 980Ti Reference. I created a few custom fan curves and checked out the idle and load temps. The CPU fluctuates between 40°C to 45°C on idle, and only goes up to 55-65 on load. The GPU sits at 50°C on idle and 60°C on load. I want to lower my idle temps, any suggestions? Thanks!

I have a hyper 212 evo, no overclocks

Well the Hyper 212 Evo is good, but it's not THAT good. You may want to invest in something a bit more cooler. Even at stock temps, it may get a biut hot. Don't get me wrong, your temps are fine, but it can be cooler. If you go to safe mode and monitor temps, what do you get?

The thing that surprised me was that I was idling at a cool 30C on the CPU the first few days I had it, but ever since a few days ago it has spiked to 50C idle. Not to mention the CPU fan ramps up and down like CRAZY on the desktop. I'm very frustrated at this point lol

No results. The temps seem to be getting even higher.

Are you sure your idle is actually idle? Have you been installing more software that might be running services in the background? Are any Windows processes running?

I saw some strange spikes in the middle of my testing and realized that some Windows services had kicked off.

Yeah I don't think that's the issue, as I've been maintaining my startup programs. (also sorry for the accidental downvote was on mobile lol)
