PC will be used for work and casual use. Will be using it for:

  • ■ Running 2 IDE programs at once (Android studio, visual studio, etc)
    ■ Will run max 1 virtual machine
    ■ Connecting two monitors
    ■ Multiple browsers running with memory leak and monitoring plugins
Is ryzen 5 1400 enough? Or is it better to pay the difference for 5 1600?

In my country in price there is a difference of 70 dollars. The rest of the components would be with 16gb ram and b350 motherboard and gt 710 video card. Do you find it suitable?

The 1500x is the same as the 1400 with a higher clock speed. Since all the Ryzen chips are unlocked you can easily increase the clock frequency of the 1400 to the speed of the 1500X. Both CPUs are 4 cores and 8 threads. The 1600 does stand out with its 6 cores and 12 threads. If you ask me, the 1600 is the sweet spot for most builds today.

Any of those will work fine. Quicker runtime would definitely be better, especially with multithreaded applications, so I would go with the 1600. It all depends on your budget. A lot of CPUs would run virtual machines just fine. I would prioritize RAM as VMs run better with the more RAM you have.
