System won't complete reboot after W10 update

I have a system with a MSI N3050 ECO motherboard, and according to sysinfo the bios is American Megatrends 1.0 (7/3/2015). After Windows 10 does one of its frequent updates without my permission, the system shuts down but won't reboot. This is a problem because I am running home automation software on the system, and obviously the automation doesn't work if the machine isn't running.

I don't think it's this problem because there is no BSOD or anything, just a black screen like you get before reboot, and the power LED is on. The case it's in doesn't have a reset button, but holding down the power button doesn't do anything. To get it to boot, I have to unplug/replug the power cord and restart it.

Anyone know what the problem might be or how to troubleshoot it?

Solution
Looks like it will require 2 bios updates. Download version 1.1 and extract the file E7890IMS.110 to a USB. Then follow the live update 6 instructions near the bottom for bios flash. There is also a how to flash bios at the bottom of the bios download page so check both. Bios should allow M-flash with just the E7890IMS.110 in the USB.

Once your on bios 1.1 in windows retry the live update 6 to get the newest bios.

I went to that link and there were several newer bios versions, but when I clicked download on the newest one it told me to install a "live update" utility. I installed it, but unlike the instructions there is no option to scan for a MB BIOS update. The automatic scan doesn't return anything but drivers.

Checked registry to make sure .NET 4.0 is installed (it is) disabled AV. Same result. Manual scan doesn't help because while instructions page shows checkboxes for what to manually scan including MB driver, MB BIOS, VGA BIOS, MSI Utility, Optional Utility, mine only has check boxes for MB driver, MSI Utility, Optional utility.

Well updating to 1.1 did not fix the live update problem, but it may have fixed the problem I was trying to solve. At least it completes reboot when I restart from Windows now. I will have to wait and see if it does so after updates. Thanks for the advice.
