I want to get into PC gaming. I have been interested in H1Z1, CSgo maybe Battlefield. I have landed on wanting to build my own PC. I see all these videos for budget builds, or 5000$ gaming PC. Those are no help. I will not be recording, or uploading videos. Mostly playing games maybe 15-20 hours a week, trying new games, paying bills and that's about it. I want it to last, and be able to support new games. I have created a build but it is starting to get out of hand seriously fast. Let me know your thoughts!

What resolution and refresh rate do you plan to play at (1080p/1440p, 60hz/120hz)? This has to be known to choose the right cpu and gpu.

How much do you want to spend?

Better ssd is a Samsung 850 Evo. Wouldn't use the NEX psu. Go with G2/G3 if u want that brand.

1070 prices have shot up due to ethereum mining and the shortage of rx 470/480/570/580's. Now is not a good time to be buying gpu's (or cpu's for that matter as stated above).
What country do you live in? That's extremely expensive for a 1070. In the US you can get them for well under $400 now. Check Newegg's email subscriber promos. I've seen them quite often for $380.

I would also consider waiting until the Coffee Lake 6 core S model CPU releases in Aug to see what price and performance it has, especially if you plan to keep the rig a long time as implied.

Who knows how much longer quad core CPUs will be used, since games have been made for 8 core console APUs for some time now. Quads often yield high frame rates, but can exhibit micro stutter in games that are very well threaded.

You're right that 8 core and beyond is mostly beneficial for video editing and multi tasking for now, but a decent hex core for adaptability for the growing number of heavy threaded games makes sense.

There have been growing pains with AMD's new Ryzen platform and Intel's 2066, but I'm pretty sure the Coffee Lake S 6 core chip will work on regular dual channel Skylake.

I am looking into the prices. I'm not sure if the variants, there are a lot of different GPUs which one is the best/worst that's what I'm unaware of, videos and reviews look good but I do need something so powerful? Shoot idk.

Well, on the GPU, the 1070 is a good choice if you're playing at 1080p, and plan to be for some time.

The things I look at when buying a GPU are...

1. Picking a trusted brand name
2. Stock core and boost clock speeds
3. Reviews on performance and temps
4. Manufacturer's warranty period and limits

When perusing reviews, don't just read site reviews. They're great for temps and OC levels, as long as it's a trusted site like TechPowerUp, but may not include common problems run into by consumers.

Also, make SURE you carefully check into warranty. I still don't know what country you're in, and that is one thing that can greatly affect both support and warranty period.

If you mean GTX 1080, it's not necessary for 1080p resolution gaming, which you've not verified yet. It will only be wasted money.

Plus, as I've said, I've regularly seen GTX 1070s for well under $400 on Newegg's promos, even recently, so it depends where you check prices.

If you're not checking Newegg's email subscriber Promos, you aren't seeing all the pricing, and they wouldn't even be putting them on promo if they weren't in stock. A bit of an exaggeration really. The sky isn't falling just due to a little mining. :sarcastic:
