I have a gigabyte gtx 1050 ti and my fans don't run at all even when I set the xtreme gaming engine to 100%. I've tried everything I can think of. Every so often when I'm playing a game one fan starts up (the one closest to the back panel) and stays running until I restart my pc. I've checked the bios and firmware for updates and it all appears to be up to date. I've reinstalled the divers twice, also tried to reinstall xtreme gaming engine all having no luck. I'm wondering if there is a way to maybe reflash the bios or firmware thinking maybe it's corrupt or something. I don't wanna do a rma but if I need to I will, but I want to try everything I or any of you fine people can suggest. Please help. Ps. My pc consist of mb=msi z97 gaming 5, cup=i3 4160, ram=8gig hyperX fury, graphics card= gigabyte gtx 1050 ti oc .. hooked up hdmi to Samsung hd 1080p tv .

I didn't mean to hit the down vote sorry, I'm new here. I was trying to reply to you. When I play a game the fan will come on and won't stop until I restart my pc. And even if I try to manually turn the fan on full speed using xtreme gaming engine I get nothing. Even when the fan is running if I look at the monitoring section on xtreme gaming engine it says my fan is running @ 0rpm .

I assume you meant to say the Aorus Graphics Engine, rather than the Xtreme Gaming Engine. (Or perhaps the name has changed now, if it was Xtreme Gaming Engine before).

Try setting the fan speed to 100% using MSI Afterburner aswell, see if that has any effect. If that also doesn't start the fans, you'd have to take out the GPU and take a look at the fan connectors. They might be loose or unplugged. If that isn't the case, try seating the GPU into your PC one more time. There are very minor cases of GPU fans not working because it wasn't seated properly (Not very likely though).

I'll pull the card out and check the plugs for the fan, I've already pulled the card from the motherboard and put it back in and same problem, I've even done a clean install of win 10 64 bit (not because of this problem but because I upgraded my motherboard/cpu, graphics card, and ram. This cause major issues with bsod and other annoying problems) I will also try msi afterburner. Do you know if it matters what program I use fur overclocking? Can I just use the one I like the best? Ps. I believe as far as I know and correct me if I'm wrong, AURUS GAMING ENGINE is the program that comes with the aurus family of graphics cards from gigabyte, and xtreme gaming engine is the program that comes with the rest of them,
