I am [strike]making[/strike] building this computer to play games,
Stream wirelessly at 720 (1080 if possible),
Not overclock,
And no more than 2k (I have some of the parts already),
One day play, and stream VR,
Endure the longevity as the years pass, and more intrinsic games are made,
And I guess makes for an easy build for a beginner, as well as something that can make any gaming nutjob like me happy!

If you don't have a very good reason switch the AIO water cooler for a very good air cooler, you will have better peformance and more MTBF for less money.

Switch the TP-Link network adapter for another brand, i would recomend an ASUS one, i would say an ASUS PCE-AC56 or PCE-AC58

I suppose he aims for 144Hz, currently with only one 1080 i think it's imposible to get 1440p-144Hz outside reduced settings.

Best value.

I know the the OP selected best anser but could not help but respond...

Not everyone runs at max/ultra settings, regardless of GPU/monitor setup, simply because each game has different demands. With your logic/response, what GPU would you suggest for 1440p @144Hz in order to run at max settings for consistent 144 FPS on ALL titles, a Titan XP??

Two, there are titles that are frame-locked, so that is a none issue regardless, especially w/a GTX 1080 on a 1440p display, even @144Hz. I'm on a 1080 Ti @1440p 144Hz and some titles give me issues on max/ultra settings (everything maxed), but it bothers me not in the least.

It's a balance... Max-frames possible with the max settings without taking FPS hit and still providing crisp and console-killing quality graphics (per title) in order to achieve the best gaming experience. To each their own I guess.

Consistent 144fps isn't possible with any card maxed out unless you're running 1080p 144hz maxed with SLI 1080 Tis, even then its only in somewhat graphically intensive titles, Arma will struggle for example.
There's always a workaround for these FPS caps with .txt files in settings, easy to solve the FPS cap.
The build is perfectly fine, i'm running with a 1080 at 1440p 144hz and most games will run ultra above 60fps, the 1080 Ti is even better, not sure what your argument structure even is here.
Settings can be tweaked...?
