Hello there, I've been going nuts lately trying to figure out my problem, so lets go straight into it-

My system:
Athlon x4 860k black edition
CM Hyper 212 EVO
Asus A88XM-E (FM2+ socket)
Asus GTX 950 strix OC
16gb crucial ballistix 1600mhz
samsung 850 Evo 250gb ssd
1tb Wd

(light cpu oc 4.0ghz & asus gpu tweak II oc mode on)

So my problem is the following:

-My BF1 experience is horrible at 1080p. My cpu is always pinned at 100 while my gpu is usually at 40-50%.
I know that the more work you offload onto the gpu, the less the cpu will work (thats why I run things at high- ultra) I usually get 40 or so fps (60 sometimes, Im constantly trying to tweak the experience), but what keeps happening (no matter the oc or config) is that periodically, the cpu and gpu go low on usage (20% or so) and my fps drops to 10-15fps and Im just "instantly" killed.
(temps dont get past 60 on the gpu or past 70-80 on the cpu)

That happens notheless of the settings I try running.

thanks for reading, hopefully someone can help me try and fx this situation

Solution
hi,
so I tweaked quite a bit the oc's (cpu at stock & gpu w manual oc- a bit higher) and experimented with in game settings... I got bf1 running at 1080, high settings (auto) What seemed to do the trick was getting rid of the cpu oc (which fixed similar isues in other games, like GTA V), tweaking the gpu oc, and above all- activating v-sync (in-game)

I would suggest to anyone having similar isues with this budget (slow and kinda crappy) to run it stock and get your games to depend more on your gpu (ramp up te graphical settings) and after some time well spent tinkering, you'll get a great experience for little money

Thanks for the help,
R

whops, sorry fo the downpost thing (new to the forums thing) Just wondering if there isnt anyway to fix it, like a higher cou oc so it can process things faster, for exaple

Temps on your CPU will never go above safe levels, this does not mean that the CPU will not downclock itself when it reaches close to unsafe temps.
If you combine HWmonitor with afterburner/rtss you can see cpu clocks while gaming.
Also try Dx12 mode since it will use less threads.
