Is this a good gaming build for most games at at least 30FPS?

Well if you are just playing on 1080p, no point in going bigger. I also think you should get with Ryzen and use the savings to upgrade the RAM to 16GB. The reasons the below list seems high er is becasue you did not have a price with your GPU, the GTX 1070. However, due to the mining craze, it is highly recommended to either get a GTX 1060 or GTX 1080. If you are willing to spend $500 for a 1070, then you mind's well get a 1080 for the same price.

I think this build is unbalanced. If you trying to use the 6600K for a higher clock, you will barely notice it. Also no point in using 2400mhz memory when it will be lowered to 2133 mhz. Are you going to overclock? This is definitely more than 30fps...it's actually overkill for it. You also need to consider what monitor you are using.

It depends on the game, the settings you play it on, and the resolution you play.

For example, you'll slaughter overwatch at 1440p, probably max settings. But you won't max out Nier Automata or something at 4k.

Also, with a build like this, 16 GB of memory would be nice.

GTX 1060 6GB. If possible, you look for the RX 580 8GB, but that thing is out of stock. Again, anything between the RX 470 through the GTX 1070 is pretty much out of stuck. You can get older cards that perform (i.e. GT X970, 980, 780) but I think it's pretty pointless to take a step back in the past. That's just my three cents.

That is priced just right. You should not be paying more than $550 for a 1080.

If you look at the 1070s, you could see that some of them are over $450. So I would think why not pay an extra $50 to get more power and have a beast of a machine.
