Can you use modem & router without a cmputer?

I already have WIFI network set up but I want to move the modem/router to a different room to hopefully improve speed. Can I do that by not using a computer any longer to run it through?

Yes you can just make sure you connect the cables just as they were previously with a change that you don't connect router to pc cable as you aren't using a pc
