Help with i5 6600k oc

Hi!
I need the steps i should follow to oc my cpu.
I have a gigabyte z270x gaming 5 mobo and a i5 6600k.
Teach me like im a monkey, really hahaha

In the bios, leave all on auto.
Gradually increase the multiplier for all cores from the default of 35 to a higher number.
Stress test with an app like OCCT until temperatures stabilize. OCCT will shut down the test if it gets to 85c.

Monitor your vcore with cpu-z. You do not want it to go past 1.4v.
Likely you will run out of vcore before you run into thermal limits.

When all done, implement adaptive voltage and speedstep.
That will reduce the multiplier and vcore when the cpu has little to do.
