So I have an old PC. Im just doing cheap upgrades to tide me over til I build a new modern PC. I'll eventually transfer the 1030. I already upgraded the CPU. Here are the specs:

My question is, can I put a 1030 into this machine? Even if it doesn't run 100% capacity, will it still work? Also, I know I'll probably need to upgrade the PSU as well. Does anyone have something recommended that will fit my build? Are all PSU's pretty much universal? Just want something cheap and reliable around 400-500W rated at 80+ or so.

This USB the PSU already in the PC: http://outletpc.com/9498r002-300w-delta-dps-300pb-3a.html

I'm thankful for any help.

I understand. I don't plan to play any games outside Minecraft and CS:GO. It's mainly frustrating that I can't play YouTube videos in 720p or 1080p full screen without serious screen tearing and lag. I was under the impression that the card would work no matter what with the right connection so thanks for warning me that it might not work. Maybe I should buy a cheap $20 550 ti?

I found my answer but just for future reference the GTX 550 ti will absolutely not be more powerful than the GT 1030. The 1030 performs close to the 750 ti. You can expect a slight loss in fps with the 1030 compared to the 750 ti.
