I build my current PC around 4 years ago and it has an i5-3570K with a Asrock Z77 extreme 3 motherboard.
I currently have a GTX 760 and plan on upgrading this and I'd also like to boost my CPU performance.
I have decided that it is not cost-effective to upgrade my CPU at this time so would like to buy an aftermarket cooler and try to overclock it instead.
Is it possible to achieve a stable overclock with my motherboard and could anyone recommend a decent (air) CPU cooler for a reasonable price that will be compatible with my CPU?
I'm also confused as to how much of a performance increase I can expect while playing games like playerunknown's battlegrounds/csgo/etc. I don't expect a huge performance increase but will it be worth the cost of buying a new cooler?
