It is completely possible that the device is incapable of running the game you purchased. Happens all the time. There could also be a problem with the game, malware came with it, or a virus. It could even be due to something already on your tablet before you got the game.

Try booting up the tablet in "Safe Mode" and see if it will start up. If it does, there is something fishy on the tablet. If so I would try uninstalling the game you got and then reboot to see if it loads fine. If it does, you know the game is the issue and should get your money back. If it still has the problem then you need to scan the device for viruses and malware.
