Hi! I wanted to buy a desktop for League of Legends to offer my daughter, since she's a big LoL fan. Her gaming pc's graphic card is now ruined, and I don't have a lot of money to invest, so for now I'm stuck with an AMD A8 7600 cpu with an AMD Radeon R7 integrated GPU and a MSI A68HM Grenade motherboard. I have 1x4GB Kingston KVR16N11S8/4 RAM. A setup like this would benefit greatly from more DDR3 RAM, right? Can my motherboard support 2x4GB RAM sticks, and is it worth it to upgrade from 1x4gb to 2x4gb? Should I buy another Kingston KVR16N11S8/4? Thanks a bunch!

Solution
KVR16N11S8/4 is DDR3-1600.

A8-7600 supports DDR3-2133MHz.

Kingston guarantees the rated speeds of any memory to be obtainable only in the kit it is sold in. If you are adding an additional set of memory, the rated timings may not work due to the extra stress on the memory controller. Therefore, you will need to relax the timings and/or frequencies in order to get two sets of memory to work.

I suggest you use DDR3-2133MHz and not add to existing memory.

G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C10D-8GAB

• DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000)
• Timing 10-12-12-31
• CAS Latency 10
• Voltage 1.6V

To set memory look at page 28 of downloadable motherboard manual.

▶▶DRAM Frequency [Auto] Change setting to DDR3-2133MHz.
▶▶DRAM Timing Mode [Auto] Change setting to Link
▶▶Advanced DRAM Configuration
Starting with CAS Latency, set to 10
set next three numbers to 12-12-31
▶▶DRAM Voltage [Auto] Change this setting to 1.6v. Default setting is 1.5v.
