Hello everyone

I have an I7 5930k in a Asus Rampage V Extreme, cooled with a Cooler Master nepton 240m.

I have this oc settings

Core voltage 1.279V
BCLK 100.0
Core Speed 4.5GHz for all cores
CPU Cache Ratio 3000Mhz
RAM XMP 1.35V 2400Mhz
LLC level 2

I have this oc sometime ago and when Im using the computer it is everything ok.
I have already test this oc settings in Aida 64 for about 3 hours more than 1 time and everything is fine with temperatures about 72c to 74c with my room in summer with about 28c.
In games like GTA V the temperatures are around 56c to 62c.

My problem happen only when I turn off the computer, because sometimes when I turn off my pc I cant turn it on, if I turn on it just after. But if I wait some time after I turn off ,for example 1 hour, my pc it turns on normally saying overclocking failed.

And I know that it dont turn on cause of cpu because I see on the display of my motherboard that its the CPU that dont initialize.

How I can solve that?

That is indeed very weird. But I'll see if I can be of any help. I'm guessing you've probably cleared cmos. Have you tried reseating the CPU 8 pin and 24 pin? And check if your hard drive has bad sectors because for me even though I didn't have windows installed on one of my hard drives the hard drive would actually stop me from posting or booting. I couldn't even get into the bios because it has bad sectors. I had to take it out.
well I would try to see if it a motherboard issue, copy your settings and turn off all OC for a bit, play some games, turn computer it off and try to see if after 1 hr it doesn't restart as you say, if it duplicates the issue it would mean your issue has nothing to do with your overclocking at first glance and is another issue.

cpu not initializing in my opinion kind of point the finger at bios and motherboard issue.
