Hello! I was wondering if I could gradually upgrade my pc (ex. if I could still use my motherboard or ram and just upgrade my video card). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

My Current Specs:
Pentium G2020 2.90 GHz
4GB ram
ASUS Motherboard P8H61-M LX3 PLUS R2.0
NVIDIA GeForce GT 630

Solution
The differences in FPS between a Ryzen 5 and i7 7700k with any main stream video card is very little. The 1600 for $199 comes with a decent CPU cooler. It offers the best bang for the buck, and will overclock the same as the 1600x. 3.9-4.1GHz depending on the silicon lottery! Also, the CPU load playing games will be less on the 6 and 8 core systems while gaming. Ryzen 1800X has been tested to be better than Intel systems including Intel's 8 core 6900k when it comes to streaming games. The 1700($299) comes with a CPU cooler and can overclock to be as effective as the 1800x. Also, AMD will be using the same socket, so you can upgrade to the next generation Ryzen CPU that comes out next year.

Questions:
1. If i get 1050 ti, will the 4gb version be compatible with my mobo?
2. There are alot of branded graphics card other than ASUS, will other brands be the same?
3. Are DDR5 graphic cards compatible to DDR3 Motherboards?

Sorry for the bountiful questions, It's my first time buying parts.

1. Any GPU should work with your motherboard

2.Some brands handle differently, I know one 1050 brand has noise issues, etc.

3. I've ran DDR5 graphic cards on DDR2 motherboards, point is- it'll work just fine. Memory types of the motherboard don't matter with the GPU.

You could switch out the processor for a I5 7500 it would be under $550 then.

It's hard to get GPUs right now sector mining even the 1060 is become scarce and over priced

"Today we pit the AMD Ryzen 5 1400 against the Intel i7 7700k with the Radeon and Geforce Mid-Range Champions (The RX 580 & GTX 1060 Cards) to see how much of a difference there is and also whether the performance you could gain off a 7700k is worth it when compared to the Ryzen 5 1400. Everything in this comparison was overclocked to relatively normal levels for air and water overclocks."
