Hello, gentlebeings

I have been running my rig for about 4 & 1/2 years now and only recently I have realized it has always had an strange behaviour on boot: Every single time (even during a restart, or when coming out of hibernation) the CPU fan blows at full speed for a couple of seconds before resuming normal operation.
I suppose the problem resides within the CPU fan (it came included with the CPU) or within some obscure BIOS setting, but I am clueless right now.

It is not a big deal, I know, but it has been bugging me for a while now and I would like to see it through. Every time I power up the PC I can not help but wonder what is going on.

Here are the specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte H77-DS3H
CPU: Intel Core i5 3330 @ 3.00GHz
RAM: 1 8Gb DDRL3 DIMM 1333 MHz
VGA: Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce GTX 650Ti 2Gb
PSU Nox Urano 650W

A 128Gb SSD for OS and a 7200 rpm, 1 Tb HDD for storage
Also an ASUS WLAN card

But this hardware has been added over the last couple of years and the fan problem dates back to the very beginnig.

So, any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Solution
It is how those boards work. At the start (or restart) it puts fans (quite possible all, but I did not check that) to full speed to determine if they work properly. As far as I know, you can't do anything with it.

I was fearing that to be the answer :(

At least, now I know about it and can obsess with another thing :D

Thank you very much, DRagor!

Edit: Just for clarification, is this the standard behaviour of all Gigabyte motherboards, or is it just a feature this particular series happens to have? For I do not really want to experience this again if I can avoid it (when assembling an hypothetic new rig).

I'll have to investigate, then.

Thank you very much for your help :)
