Instability with ASUS X370 or Possible SSD failure?

I purchased a Ryzen 1700x, ASUS X370-PRO, and 16GB of Corsair 3000mhz DDR4. I combined those with my 1070 and previous HDDs. The whole system seems fairly unstable. The system will often simply freeze up. It does not hard crash, it just pauses for a few seconds. This happens whether I am in a game or using chrome or opening a program. I have already tried going to the Beta BIOS, reinstalled Windows 10, and turned off page filing to no avail. I also ran MEMTEST86 and it passed. Are there any more suggestions or do I have a bad motherboard?

Thanks

I am starting to lean towards a failing SSD. I wrote down several times that it froze and in Event Viewer there were a bunch of these errors at the same times. There were different numbers for each one. "The IO operation at logical block address 0xf51d479 for Disk 1 (PDO name: \Device\00000039) was retried."

Hi there... more than likely it is indeed a bad SSD. Anything with IO errors usually have to do with disk drives, even with DVD/CD drives. Did you check if there is a newer firmware for your SSD?
