Sorry in advance if I'm breaking any rules. First time poster here.

I'm a complete beginner who just finished his first build yesterday, but there are some issues.
Here are my specs:
CPU: Intel i5 7600K
Mobo: Asus Prime Z270-A ATX
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3000 2x8GB 3000 MHz (might be the culprit)
Storage: Samsung EVO 250 GB SSD, Seagate Barracuda 2TB Hard Drive
GPU: MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X
Case: Corsair 200R
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold

After putting everything together and connecting my monitor to the PC via HDMI on the mobo back panel, all the lights and fans started working in my PC, but the MemOK light for DRAM stayed on. I tried putting the 2 sticks in different slots, tried them separately, tried them together, but nothing worked.

Also, the back panel of my mobo does not seem to work either. My monitor said no signal for VGA and both HDMI ports, and the USB ports did not charge my phone either. I am fairly certain that everything is plugged in correctly, so I did a bit of research and found out that my CPU is compatible with the following types of RAM: DDR4-2133/2400, DDR3L-1333/1600. Thus, I decided to return my DDR4-3000 RAM and wait to see if the 2133 work. I've also heard people say that once RAM started working, the I/O panel can start working as well.

Weirdly, the USB ports on the front of my case don't seem to work either after I tried charging my phone there as well. I know I connected the USB 3.0 cable to the mobo, so I'm not quite sure what's going on there. I have also asked for my mobo to be replaced, so it could be defective for all I know. I would really appreciate any help or advice.

First thing: if you installed GPU, you should not connect monitor to motherboard, but to GPU (btw, your mobo does not have 2 HDMI ports - it's HDMI and DP). Next, 3000 MHz ram will run as good as 2133 one, provided it works and motherboard works too. And last, are you 100% you installed ram sticks correctly? This board has one lock ram system, and it takes slightly different procedure - you first need to push lower end of stick to the end and after that you push upper end.

I've reconnected my monitor to my GPU, but I'm still getting no signal. Also, I am 100% positive that the RAM sticks are in correctly. There is no wiggle room at all once I put the lock down.
