So i just bought a Gigabyte h110m s2 and an Intel i5 7400 and i am getting 10mbps. I have installed all the drivers from the cd. When i plugged the ethernet cable into the laptop it was getting around 34mpbs. So my pc was when i had the old mobo. What can i do to get 100mbps back, because i usually download with 12-17mbpps and now i'm downloading with 1.1mpbs... Please respond because i need answears fast

My router is from UPC (live in romania). I have this cable for a long time but after i bought this motherboard i have 10mbps. As i said on laptop i have like 34mbps. It's just a normal ethernet cable

I just tried another cable which is closer to the modem. Same result

Look what i've tried. I've installed the old mobo and this one is connected to Ethernet2 while the new mobo is connected to Ethernet1. That's pretty weird. On the other hand the ethernet port on the new mobo shows only one flashing orange light and the new one has both of them on (green and orange).

When i connect it to my laptop, boom, 34mbps... Dunno what's wrong... I've even tried a cable that's closer to the modem and still 10mbps. I contacted my internet provider but they told me to do the same thing i did already(100mbps full dbplex and things like that). i would like if someone tells me how to solve this problem. Only on this mobo i have 10mbps. Only one flashing orange light is shwoing and not a green one

Maybe i'll send this mobo at warranty

Look at the bottom right tray. Right click the Network icon. Select Network and Sharing Center. On the left side select Change Adapters Settings and you will see your Ethernet port. Right click on it select Properties, then Configure. Click on Power Management and make sure it is unchecked in the boxes. Click on the Advanced Tab. Scroll down the list and select SPEED & Duplex. THERE is where you set it to 100 Full Duplex.

The reason everyone telling you to look at the cable is the cable sounds like it is a OLD cable (10 Half duplex) or broken somehow.

I would also like to point out, if the router has Wifi, and you plug in the cable to the laptop, the "SPEED" your getting is still WIFI NOT ETHERNET. You need to actually TURN OFF (Airplane mode) on the Laptop to use the ETHERNET, as it will auto use the WIFI first. So that isn't a valid test using the laptop unless you do that step.

Tried it but it's useless. Tried everything, duplex thing, reinstalling the drivers, the windows but nothing. Where my ethernet cable is connected (dirrectly into the ethernet port on my mobo) there's only one flashing amber light and the green one is off. When i plug the same cable who goes into my pc into my talptop it gets 100mbps.

When i did this to the laptop i disabled the wifi on the laptop. I don't think it's the cable becase when i connect it to the old mobo is shows 100mbps. Another thing is this one: if i go to network and sharing center on the new mobo there says "Connected to: Ethernet", but if i do the same thing on the old mobo is shows "connected to Ethernet 2". This is strange

I have some weird news. A friend did something in bios and it didn't work (still 10mbps). Games were a little bit lagging so i went into bios and did the optimize default settings. After the pc restarded the speed was 100mbps. After one minute the connection dropped and it went back to 10mbps. Any solutions?

Well the options that are left are limited so let's go through this one more time:

1) Have you tried different ports on this router.
2) If this router has Wifi, have you tried to bypass all these issues and get a USB Wifi adapter to use instead?
3) Do a full wipe of the drive, reinstall clean copy of Windows 10 (I am assuming this is a 'off the shelf' copy of Windows, not from a Dell, HP, etc. previously purchased computer your upgrading correct?)
4) Install from the GigaByte CD all the drivers and applications
5) Then use the included GigaByte Update client (look in your Start Menu for the GigaByte folder), and see if there is any BIOS / other updates?
6) Use iOBit Driver Booster to make sure all drivers are up to date.
7) Go to Task Manager click on Performance tab, Select Networking, and take a 'screen shot' and post it here.

1-yes
2-yes
3-Wiped the drive. No, only the cpu and mobo are new
4-did it
5-Bios has the last update. Used the windows thing for the drivers from device manager and all the drivers are up to date
6- ^

My last shot is to disable then uninstall the ethernet adapter in Device Manager, ticking the option to remove the attendant software.

Update the motherboard drivers then restart the machine and re-enable the adapter. If that doesn't do it, I can only suggest you buy a PCI card.
