Will my motherboard support M.2 SSD

I want to buy an m.2 SSD and install my windows on it to make my computer faster. Currently I'm using a WD blue HDD. I wanna know if my MSI B150 Mate will support Samsung 960 EVO Series - 250GB PCIe NVMe - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V6E250BW)

it supports

1 x 2280 Key M, m.2

BUT it only has sata mode

so the 960 would be VERY bottlenecked

just buy a standard sata ssd, like the 850
