I have an ASUS Z270E motherboard that I am installing with a Corsair H115i.

I put the mounting bracket on the motherboard and then screwed in the STANDOFFS. To my surprise the standoffs only screwed part of the way in until I got resistance. I know these are to be hand tightened so this would be there max. Am I to understand there should be 1/8+ of tread showing? When I've done install like this in the past they were flush, is this correct for the z270 motherboards and the new corsair mounts?

Doesn't seem right, any feedback.

To be fair, those are not hand made specialty parts, they are stamped out by the ton, and not every single bracket is tested for fit, maybe 1 in a hundred or so. So there will be opportunity to get a bad one every now an then, its unavoidable, those brackets fit every corsair cooler made in that particular pump design. You got 1 in a million chances of a bad bracket, sorry it happened, but it does. Doesn't mean every one will be bad.

The AMD are different but for the LGA 115x they are the same on both ends. Guessing I have a BAD bracket. I'm sure I could force them down with a wrench but they are supposed to hand tighten.
