I'm interested in upgrading my RAM (2x4GB 1600 MHz DDR3) to something faster, like 2133MHz or 2400MHz.

My motherboard is the Gigabyte B150m-DS3H DDR3.

There is no mention of XMP support neither on the manual or the website, the website says it supports DDR3 1333MHz, 1600MHz and 1866MHz (OC).

However in BIOS, when you select "Advanced memory settings" the description on the right side reads "Configure memory settings including X.M.P Profiles, memory clock and memory timings".

If I go in there, there is no option regarding XMP, and as far as I got, if your RAM doesn't have XMP, then you shouldn't see the option in there, so I'm not sure the description is something that is the same for all the motherboards, or it only mentions XMP profiles if the motherboard supports it.

Is there a way to know without buying the RAM and testing it?
