DOWNGRADING OS WILL I LOSE MY FILES. Help

Okay so I want to buy new hard drive and since im gonna buy an os when im getting new new hard drive I want to buy windows 7 I currently have windows 10 but when I install windows 7 on my new hard drive and transfer the files from my old hard drive to the new one will i lose some files since im downgrading the os to windows 7
 
Solution
Unless your files are encrypted, your data files (documents, pictures, videos, music, etc.) will be fine. Programs will need to be reinstalled. You may be able to keep data and configuration files for programs (save game files, configs, etc.) depending on the program/game.

Note: When you try to access the disk in the new Windows 7 you will probably get a prompt saying that you do not have access and asking if you want to give your self access (or take ownership). This is normal.
