So I Was browsing on Chrome earlier today, and all of a sudden my entire system froze. Me being impatient, I decided to shut down the system manually and restart. However, I am now dealing with a black screen that is present as soon as I connect the HDMI cable (even when the PC is not turned on). In addition, none of the USB ports are functioning. This makes me think the Motherboard is fried. Although, I'm not certain. I don't have any spare parts to test this theory. For me, it's between the Video Card and the Motherboard. The PC still powers itself on and all of the fans are spinning. Just absolutely no image on my monitor except a black image. Surely if the Video Card was the issue the USB ports would still work. What do you guys think? I don't want to purchase a new board only to find out the Video Card was the problem the whole time.
I'm also confused about why this happened. Why would my motherboard stop working out of nowhere. I have had my PC for three years now, I know some things stop working sometimes but I have taken care of my system. Anyway, thanks in advance!
