Hello everyone, I'm facing a really strange issue.

Water level in my LEPA system went too much down, making my computer start to a very slow clock rate, like 0.2 Ghz . Before I understood what was happening, the cpu overheated and everything shut down.

My watercoling unit was really inflated and damn hot. So I took it apart, filled it with water, put some new thermal paste and started the computer, everything went fine again, nice 35° idle temp.

But what's strange is that my water is not moving anymore ! I can see a small bubble moving a bit on startup, and then nothing more. But still, the temp stays okay. The pump now makes a strange noise thought.

I really filled it as much as I could.

I really don't get it. It should overheat, the water is clearly not moving. But still even when rendering or doing some hardcore cpu things it stay in nice temps.

What do you guys think ? Have you seen that kind of behavior before ? Should I change the watercooling even if the temps are still cool ?

Solution
It shouldn't evaporate out of a closed system, you have a bigger problem.

If enough water or coolant had leaked, the pump might have been damaged.
If your loop is filled to the point where there is no air inside (ideal situation), you won't be able to see if the coolant is moving or not. If it weren't flowing, your temps would increase pretty quickly.

What is more concerning is that your water level dropped over time. Do you have a leak somewhere?

Hello, thanks for your answer !
Apparently the water can just evaporate. I live in a hot country and it's been a year without refill, so that's my fault I should have taken care of this. Don't think there is any leak, I guess I would have noticed this !

And I guess the water do flow if you say so. But maybe it's liking flowing under the bubble ? It's not 'really' a bubble, it's more like the is some air in one of the tubes but with still some liquid under it. It seems strange to me that the flow won't take that air somewhere with him but maybe that's an explanation !
