So I just upgraded my graphics card from a Gtx 760 to a Gtx 1070 ftw and now when I play games for awhile my screen will go black, but I can still hear sound and talk to people I already planned on upgrading my psu, which is 500w to a 600w could that be the problem. It isnt heat I've checked and it doesn't go over 55 degrees under load.

PC specs
Mob: MSI h81m-e35 v2
CPU: i3 4150 3.5 ghz
Psu: 500w thermaltake
Gpu: Gtx 1070 ftw
Ram: hyper x 4 gig x2
Fans: 3 intake 1 out
CPU cooler: 212 evo I think
Case: corsair air 540

Solution
That's not a PSU problem what you are experiencing, those are not the symptoms of a PSU problem. What it sounds like is possibly your new GPU has a defect. If the PSU was at fault other stuff would malfunction, just a screen going black while everything else works sounds like a total GPU problem.
