Hi all,

Just got this card (upgrading from Radeon R9270x 2gb) and I installed it (PCI Port and just one 6 pin connector.

1. Tried to run Fallout 4 (detects at ultra settings), run the game through launcher.
2. "Fallout 4 has stopped working." Game does not boot at all.
3. Skyrim - Does not work, but Enderal (a full game mod of skyrim) works.
4. Overwatch - same error as FO4. Won't even attempt to open.
5. CS:GO - Same error.
5. Heaven Benchmark, runs normal (Card seems to run, fan on, little humming, etc...)
6. Just for fun - Starcraft Broodwar works (official free one from Blizzard). Battlefield 1 also seems to work.

I have been searching for ages. Tried clean install in safe mode, removed GeForce experience, reinstalled games. Here is my rig:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit
CPU: i5-4590 Haswell Quad-Core 3.3 GHz LGA 11
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB 240-pin DDR3
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Pro4 LGA1150 Intel HDMI SATA 6gb/s
Power: Corsair RM750 - 750 w

Just in case, here is the problem details from Fallout4 (I see a lot of "BEX" errors):

Problem signature:

Any kind of suggestion will help. I am assuming this is more of a software problem than a hardware problem. Please let me know when you can.
Unfortunately, my store of choice was bad and I can't just return, I can only exchange for the same one :(

Solution
Hi all.
So this was not the graphics card at all .

There is some weird compatability issue with Razor Synapse, Fallout 4 (or any game with the BEX64 error) and GeForce Cards (?).

Try this solution below:

1. Open Razor Synapse
2. Open Task Manager
3. Look for Rzstats.Manager.Exe
4. Right Click, "Open File Location"
5. Go up one folder.
6. Close Razer Synapse.
7. Delete the entire Rzstats folder.
8. Restart Razer Synapse.

Don't know why, but this fixed the crash (for now).

Yes I deleted all the drivers with DDU in safe mode. Currently I decided to just do a fresh install of windows for now. Hoping this will fix this. Thanks for the response. I'll update soon..

Are you using mods? I have a 1060 and I do know that some mods will prevent both FO4 and Skyrim from starting. Nothing to do with the GPU, it is just mods clashing with each other. If you are using Nexus Mod Manager, disable all mods and see if it starts. If so, renenable a couple at a time until you find the culprit.

Hi Bo,

When the game initially had issues, I was not using mods at all.
It was also very odd because it did this to numerous games, so I figured it was not the games that caused the problem.
It also ran benchmarks with no issue (so I figured it was not hardware, thank goodness).

The Razer stats trick works for now... I have had no issues since.
Since then I have tried mods since. They do not cause any issues.

Thanks for the input though :)
