I upgraded my gaming PC to Ryzen about 2 weeks ago. I've had nothing but smooth sailing (except when I tried to run my 8GB Patriot Viper DDR4 at 3200MHz DOCP....the RAM is on the QVL, but only at 2133...meh

Regarding the 2x980s......ABSOLUTELY!!! Nvidia claimed that the 1080 is faster than a 980 SLI, but the website and YouTube reviewers showed that this is not always the case; i.e. the 98 SLI and 1080 are very close together (minus 4GB GDDR5..).

About 2hrs ago, I was at my wit's end and couldn't think of anything else to do, so I removed the 4 GB DIMM from the B2 slot on the mobo, leaving the other 4GB DIMM in the A2 slot. It absolutely stymies me....but in the past two hours of playing Diablo 3, the computer has been perfectly fine. As I write this, I just turned the system back on after a shutdown to reinstall the second 4GB DIMM. That was about 20min ago. Still working fine...

That leads me to think that the problem was/is localized to the system RAM, either that particular DIMM or slot B2. I've had GPU issues before (the first 980 had to be RMA repaired because it wasn't working), Windows issues, and CPU issues (OC instability when I thought I had it dialed in perfectly). But never RAM issues. But now all is well...

I don't know if any of this helps. It's great that it's working again, but I worry about a "relapse", and I'd like to know what the issue was..

IDK why the full original message wont post, at least I can't see it, on my phone or desktop...makes it difficult to diagnose if people can't see all the symptoms, as it were.

Checking back, since no one has responded in a week. Does anyone know the reason this happened? (I'll post the original unabridged story in several comments).

**The system will just randomly turn off and reboot, often it will fall into a bootloop for anywhere from 20sec to almost a minute. Not full boots, but-> reset>post beep>off>on but no post beep> off> back on>off>post beep>OS desktop>repeat when I try to download Unigine.
**Finally got it downloaded, was 90% of the way through the first benchmarking run and the system shut off. This time it boots back into Windows and all is well for a few minutes; I'll even let it sit and do nothing to it, and several minutes later it cycles again. It's gotten to the point that Windows has started the whole "your computer failed to start properly" message.

Has anyone else had this issue on a PRIME X370-PRO? Is it Windows, the memory, BIOS, or motherboard?

Full system specs:

8GB Patriot Viper DDR4 2133 (no DOCP)
2xSTRIX GTX-980s in SLI

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
