I wish to turbo boost my Ryzen 5 1600 at 3.5 Ghz. I have Asus Prime B350m-a motherboard and I have no Idea how to overclock. I am using its stock cooler for now(I will get a good liquid cooler a month later because its my birthday). Please tell me what would be optimum voltage for overclocking.

Thanks

If you mean 60c when under 100% load using a synthetic tool like prime 95, then you're really cool still. You've got a ways to go already. When under full load with prime 95, as long as you're stable (no blue screen or freezing) for a couple hours, AND your temps never hit 80c, you're all good to go. Try setting to 3.8 and see how that does.

Yes, the 212 will bring your load temps down a little bit.

Overclocking is different for everyone! its all about testing higher speeds until your at your limit. As for how to turbo it will either do it on its own or isnt turned on in the BIOS, and for more detail on the overclocking part, set the multiplier up by .1 ghz then stress test using a program of your choice (I used prime 95) and let it run for an hour or so and up it again until your PC gets the BSOD (blue screen of death) up your voltage by a little bit and try again. As I said, there is no optimum voltage.

You can probably just set the CPU multiploer to 3800, save and reboot. Simple OC on those chips. If you have any blue screens after that, come back and we can talk about increasing voltage. The 1600 is basically the same as the 1600X (which turbos to 4.0) so you don't generally need a voltage increase to simply clock it to something under 4.0 like to 3.8.

I set multiplier to 35.00 and achieved a speed of 3.5 ghz. I did some stress test and didn't have blue screen although temperature is 10degrees more now(now 60 C). I am planning to buy a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Turbo. Is this cooler decent for further overclocking (about 3.9Ghz)?
