My Windows PC crashed, not sure why, and I need to get my data off. I am booting Ubuntu from a flash drive, so I can access my data through there. Is there any way I can copy all of my data from the hard drive to an external drive without making a disk image?

Thanks!

Depends on what you mean by "all my data"

But sure..if the drive is not broken (the reason for the crash?), you should be able to access it and copy your stuff from it, to an external.

"All of my data" is pictures, videos, application data and Steam game saves. :D

I don't know what caused the crash, when I start Windows, I get a "preparing automatic repair" message. I've tried everything to fix .
