Computer freezing from overheating after power outage

The other day I was on my computer during a storm (bad idea, I know) and the power went out and I of course didn't have it connected to a surge protector or UPS. Now after I turn it on, it will run for 15 to 20 minutes before completely freezing. After the third time turning it on I realized how hot the inside of the computer was so I haven't turned it on since. All the fans seem to be working normally and I realize I'll probably have to replace a part or two. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the reply. The PSU fan works, I'm not sure if it's spinning at its expected RPM though. As for my hardware, I have a Kwi PSU, an AMD FX-8120 Eight Core processor, and a gtx660 video card. My friend built the computer about five years ago and I just bought it off him recently so I don't know too much about it. Let me know if I left out any info that you need to know, thanks again.
