New build won't power on. Pos power switch connector issue?

I've connected the CPU 4 pin and larger general mobo power connectors. It won't boot.

My case has power, power reset and led connectors. I've tried to install them and suspect I've messed up.

It's an ASUS H110M-E

What's frustrating is the manual has zero info regarding the case front panel connectors. That's a first. I'm used to seeing this style of image:

I only have what is on the mobo:

So...where does the power button connector go? I've tried in both obvious positions but neither work.

Can anyone suggest anything I've missed? What has to be wrong for a motherboard to not power up. When I switch on the power on the PSU some lights come on near the internet connections but then goes dead.

It's a 750w supply that works. It was powering a different PC yesterday.

I've been at it all day. No luck. Removed the CPU and there is a slightly bent pin. Perhaps that's it. I doubt it though.

I'm giving up and ordered a gigabyte

Just had one of THOSE PC days.
