Hey my pc's motherboard got fried during a storm and I was looking into buying a new pc. My budget is tight and I'm not tech savvy so I don't really want to build one even though I've heard it can be more cost effective. I was looking into the "HP Pavilion Desktop - 570-p065se". Would you recommend this for a student and a gamer? I'm not looking for a pc that runs every game on epic or anything like that. Just something that I could play most games on decent graphics with good fps. My budget is around $700. Like I said I'm not very tech savvy so any advice or tips would be very much appreciated. -Nick

Honestly, I think you can - anyone can, if they have the proper knowledge. Watch a few YouTube videos - especially the long and detailed ones, and you will be able to do it. You really should, because getting a pre-built is never a good idea. I'm recommending a custom build. I know building a PC can look like a daunting task, but it's not really that difficult.

^watch this video, it'll be really useful in helping you understand how to build a computer. Watch some other build videos as well, you'll really learn a lot in a short time.
As for assembled computer, you can go to cyberpowerpc.com and get a rig assembled at reasonable costs. My recommendation would be to use their Ryzen 5 1400 preset(Early July 4th Special II) and customize it to your liking.
