CPU fan error

Hi all
I have just upgraded my pc, Asus Prime Z270 MB and DDR4 3000mhz ram and a core i5 7600 CPU. When I boot up, it keep saying CPU fan error. The CPU is plugged into the cpu fan header and the fans are spinning. I have a Corsair H80. I have plugged into another fan header but says the same on boot up. Any ideas?

You need to plug it into the CPU Opt header.... THat's for watercoolers.

Will it say CPU opt as I did plug it into the connector that said cpu fan. I don't think I have another connector for the cpu.

I have looked every where, all it says is cpu fan header. I have tried it in all the headers, same thing happens, come up with the error and forces me to the bios. Can never boot straight to desk top.

It's there, Says CPU OPT right next to the CPU fan header....

Look in the manual in Chapter 1.
