All of my games suddenly dropped in framerate

My build:

Intel i5 6402P
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960
8gb ram

Normally I can run all of my games above 60 fps and easily hit ~300 on more lightweight games. However, my PC was accidentally unplugged from the wall while I was playing as usual, and when I re-plugged up everything, none of my games couldn't run above 10 fps on my usual settings.

Is there any way to solve this? I know the problem isn't outdated drivers, as I've updated them, and I know it's nothing to do with overheating because I've checked out my tower and everything is in shape.

did any error code pop up when you started the pc again?

Have you ever changed anything in BIOS?

Run any CCleaner program you got to check if all is up 2 date. I use Advanced SystemCare from IObit. Its free and check everything on the computer.

You might also try to reset bios. unplugg all cables, remove the MoBo Battery, press and hold the power button for 20 sec to get out all the rest power. wait 5 min. Plug everything back in. Restart the pc.

you could try to roll back the windows to an ealier state(RESTORE POINT). This will reset Windows and all other software as it was before.
Worst case: Clean install of windows....

Oops! Turns out I just made a silly mistake. I had my HMDI cable plugged into the incorrect port (It was plugged into my mobo, not my GPU.) I woke up this morning and realized this. Thanks for trying anyway!
