Hello people i'm a tech newbie
and i've been facing an issue with frame drops on certain games. my PC is also just a month old.

My PC

MOBO- gigabyte h110m-s2 With all BIOS updated

CPU- Intel pentium G4560 clocked at 3.5 ghz

GPU- Zotac GTX 1050 Ti 4GB

PSU- 450w zebronic gold series (zebronics is a good brand in my country)

Ram- one 4GB stick of DDR4 Ram 2133mhz clock

HDD- 320 GB (ill uprage to an SSD soon)

OS - Win 10 latest version

All parts are new BTW

So the issue i'm facing is that i get sudden frame drops from a smooth 120 FPS to 12-19 fps lasting just seconds until it returns to normal, you may just call this stuttering and freezes.

i've faced this issue in these games

battlefield 4 - only in large 24 or 64 player conquest matches, TDM and DOM 10-24 player matches dont cause any sort of fps drop/stutter. I play this game on the ultra preset 1360x768 resolution (which is my monitor's max) avg FPS is about 90-110 with frequent frame drops to 19-24. I even tried turning all settings on lowest possible in a 64 player match and it didnt make much of a difference except i got way more frames upto 250 and still the stutter/fps drop occurs

Call of duty black ops 3 - The game Lags like hell at the begining 30 secs and then runs at a smooth 85 fps high settings.
the match starts and the game is literally unplayable for around 30-40 secs giving me about 9-15 fps and stutter until 30-40 seconds are over, after that its smooth as hell

call of duty ghosts - pretty much same issue like BF4 except its happening on all modes and much more frequent stutter. running the game on high settings and i get a constant 90 fps with frequent fps drops/stutter i also tried running the game on lower settings and i guess the stutter became a little less. Not to mention this game always prompts me that it needs atleast 6 gigs of ram or otherwise i'll face performance issues, which im not surprised

So the conclusion i came to, is that the 4 gigs of ram is the sole reason behind so many of these issues
because -
1) my GPU is not being bottlenecked (atleast not a serious amount) the Pc build im using is currently the best in my budget and is infact a very popular build atleast in my country. i can safely say that my GPU+CPU+MOBO are fully compatible
2) Some games i play usually utilize around 6 gigs of ram like BF4 conquest matches
3) i have also reinstalled windows and updated my GFX drivers so my PC is fully clean
4) Gameplay videos of the users of this PC BUILD Dont have any of these issues except they're PC has around 8-10 GB of ram whereas my pc just has 4GB

I basically Need to know From The experts (you people) if Ram is the problem and if not, what is?, because i wanna upgrade my ram to atleast 8 gb and i need to know if it's worth it cuz if the problem is GPU or CPU related i'll have to take some decisions. I'm a complete Noob where computers are concerned so i may be wrong in many places, please help me.

...oh and one more thing.. i've been having some serious lags from recording gameplay through Geforce experience, previously it was shadowplay and i never had such problems in my old pc. could it be the new update which is causing it ?, if so which version would be best.

Solution
I would say it is your RAM. Call of duty black ops 3, and call of duty ghosts both require 6GB minimum, so that will certainly be holding you back. Dont forget that windows will be using 1-2 GB of RAM to run - on its own! So you are left with 2-3 GB RAM for other applications and games. Get another 4GB minimum, or if your budget allows, another 12.

yeah, you need to add more ram. With only 4 gbs your system is using the swap-file instead of system ram. 16gb is a good place to start. You could just get another 4gb to make 8, but then in a year or so you will have the same problems as game requirements increase again, so i'd say 16gb if you can get it. Matched dimms too. Don't skimp out.

geforce experience is an aboslute turkey for both recording and game optimizations. Get rid, and use individual program for recording, there are lots of good ones that don't use as much resource as GF Experience. Also for setting up game profiles and in game settings, just use the standard interface. You will get much better performance.
